Le Disco! with Village People, The Spinners 8/19/1978

 Here's a complete special, Le Disco!, "1 hour and 7 minutes of wall to wall dancing" which originally aired over WMAQ Channel 5. Included are the Spinners and the Village People, with contest judges Edie Adams, Damita Jo Freeman and Trini Lopez, and three Le Disco! couples.


Includes: Show opening, with "Manhattan Skyline" as theme; music includes "Lovin' Is Really My Game" by Brainstorm and "After Dark" by Pattie Brooks, then a fashion show. Back to dancing, including "Calling Planet Earth" by Dennis Coffey, "Dancer Dance" by Pussyfoot, the Village People's "Macho Man" and "Copacabana" by Barry Manilow. A look inside Studio 54, with "Boogie Oogie Oogie" by A Taste Of Honey , "I Don't Know What I'd Do" by Sweet Cream and "Let's Start The Dance" by Bohannon among those heard. Back to Le Disco! with "Get Off" by Foxy, "If You Wanna Do A Dance" by the Spinners and "Fire" by Panama. Part 2 of the dance contest, featuring "You And I" by Rick James, "Grease" by Frankie Valli" and "Saturday" by Norma Jean Wright. In Segment 6, the Village People perform "San Francisco", followed by "Singin' In The Rain" by Sheila & B. Devotion and "Last Dance" by Donna Summer. Segment 7, with disco medley of 1960's dance songs, and "Shame" by Evelyn King. Back to the dance floor, with "Cosmic Melody" by Constellation Orchestra , "Magic Fly" by Kebekelektrik and "I'll Be Around" by the Spinners.
