Come on and do it – Poussez
Come on and do it - Poussez.
To all my jazz friends, You are at least five (a random number based on some certainty and an assumption that there are more), here comes a curiosity for you. In three hundred and ninety-ninth place we find Poussez himself. In my search for background knowledge about this band, I found pretty little. What I mainly found was that it caused sex overtones and I was therefore unsure whether I, as a good Christian priest, am forced by the shyness and correctness that lingers over my profession to censor this. That time no. Fortunately, I am a young free-spirited priest who has acted for the bishop himself to work with the theme `sex, drugs & Rock'n'roll 'at the youth church in Bjørgvin. Here I learned that young people wanted a church that talked honestly and genuinely about sex. Therefore, I can say two things. 1) The porn filter at the town hall is lousy,I was just looking for an illustration of "sex," "drugs," and "rock'n'roll." After the first keyword, I was exposed to the impression of a degree that caused me both shame and embarrassment. 2) Pussez is sex-fixated, it may not be a charming move, but that's the reality now.
This has nothing to do with jazz. But we get there. Apart from the fact that they are sex-fixated, I found out that this was a studio band that mainly consisted of a producer. He controlled everything himself and hired some studio musicians to do what he did not bother. At first glance, we might think he was a racist. Because like Patrick Adams Musique, it is black women who sing while the cover is adorned by white women. I now let you judge him downstairs and home. Fyttikatta for a rabbagasts pig! Therefore, I will give them redress. The women we're talking about are: Christie Shire , Holly Oas , Ruderial BlackwellNow that we have finished judging, we come to the jazz case. The producer we're talking about is none other than jazz and fusion drummer Alphonso Mouzon. An African-French-Blackfoot Indian who was born in November, the best month. So far you come up with prejudices, you are only wrong! And with that, we can conclude that the United States was no better in the old days, when you had to sell your soul as a multicultural jazz hippie and suppress yourself to make money. With that said, I've never heard of Mouzon, I do not know if my jazz friends have either. But what has been noticeable is that Mouzon had at least two disco projects. But it is impossible to find anything about this on his website or his wikipedia article. We can therefore only speculate that there were deep conflicts between jazz and the disco community.Either way, Mouzon was a closet disco lover who once again sold his soul to make money when the anti-disco movement swept across the country like a land plague from the bog books. Or Mouzon's disco flirtation was just a soul sale to make money. None of that we know.
The song in question is difficult to find online. After much though, I found two youtube clips. One in 1:51 with a safe original version of the album, and one in a few more minutes but which can be a djversion of the song. We choose to describe the deviation. But you only get access to the censored 1:51 version.
The song follows the recipe for many good classics: Conga and hi-hat in the beginning before strings and a funky guitar rhythm come in. Then the singers (blacks) come with a pleasant and catchy melody. After 1:05 comes a boring brake with the song title text. After this (1:25) I recommend you listen to the music without children or parents present. A priest, on the other hand, is doing well. As a result, Donna Summer's embarrassing recording in Germany appears as something as normal as a child. This can hardly be described as women having a seizure while happily struggling with something. The woman who has this seizure is none other than Linda Ledesma-Mouzon. No, you guessed it, it's not his sister it's his first wife. So what in all the days they have been doing in the home that has inspired this vocal extravaganza you can only wonder. 1:50 and they continue with the title text in a catchy melody, but possibly somewhat breathless. 2:24 and we get another delicious verse followed by a boring brake that asks if you want to dance a little Boogie. 3:00 and something completely new is coming so I wonder if it is a new song that has been mixed in. Then I checked a bit (read the comment on the youtube clip). The boogie thing was probably also another song, which was part 2 of the first track on the album. Did not understand this correctly. I think we put a line over the song here. Listen to a carefully selected clip and sing along if you want. Then I checked a bit (read the comment on the youtube clip). Come on & do it to me,
come on & give it to me.
Come on & do it to me, babe,
come on & make me feel free
Come on & make love to me,
your love is pure ecstasy.
I want to feel like a queen,
come on & answer my dream.
So, come on & do it,
come on & do it,
come on & do it,
come on & do it,
come on & do it,
come on & do it,
come on & do it to me….
My body feels hot inside,
come on and take me for a ride.
Oh baby please do not hesitate,
oh baby please do not make me wait.
Nobody does it like you,
you really know what to do.
Let's do it upside down,
let's come together around.
So, come on & do it,
come on & do it,
come on & do it,
come on & do it,
come on & do it,
come on & do it,
come on & do it to me….
